This SOA strategy planning tool is designed to help you gauge your organisation's current level of readiness for a SOA initiative, and its ability to get the most value out of SOA. The self-assessment part of the tool is free of charge: once you've registered, you can use the tool as many times as you like, and calculate the results of your assessment as often as you like.
For a modest fee (GBP 200) you can gain "premium access" to the tool. With premium access, you can obtain a personalised action plan, which benchmarks your readiness against other organisations of a similar size, in the same industry, and in the same geographical region. As well as this, your action plan highlights a set of crucial next steps you will need to take in order to improve your SOA readiness and maturity.
As with the free part of the tool, purchasing premium access to the tool allows you to obtain as many personalised action plans as you like. You can work through the tool once, obtain a report, and then – some time later, as you progress through your SOA initiative – re-run the tool's assessment and obtain an updated report.
